You may remember, a little while back, that we posted a beautiful 360º CGI of a cottage we helped reconfigure in Leicestershire. Well, this week we learnt that we have received planning permission! Hurrah!
The cottage had a lovely large footprint but the flow of the home needed some work. The kitchen was in the center of the house and needed opening up and the lounge needed some work in order to make the area more user friendly.
The first thing we did, was to move the kitchen to the large, open-plan lounge that already existed. We removed the wall that cut off the other living area and created a huge open plan kitchen/diner/lounge which is absolutely stunning.
We also removed the wall leading to the hallway which opened up the stairs and adds to the lovely open-plan living style.
We are so pleased that we have managed to create a much more flowing home for our lovely client, and that the council have approved our plans!
Here's a reminder of the 360 we released earlier this year when we first put this application in for planning:
CGIs like this help planning officers to get a real feel for the improvements that are to be made and this can sometimes help with the time frame and decision making!
We loved working on this project and we cannot wait to see it come to life!
Are you fed up with the amount of walls in your house that are stopping the flow? You're not alone! Sometimes, all it takes is a few minor tweaks to make your house more liveable and feeling like your perfect home.
