We were recently commissioned to help redesign a flat roof bungalow in Leicestershire and we couldn't have been more excited about the project.
The owners planned to gut the entire building and redesign their perfect home. This included utilising the previously disused outhouses in order to make a stunning L-Shaped house.
As you can see from the plans below, the house felt small due to the amount of walls and rooms in such a small space.
The conservatory and the annex/garage at the back of the house weren't being used and weren't really useable at all.
The first thing we did, was to add two good sized bedrooms to the front of the house. We left the bathroom where it was but added a shower.
The, we added a large extension to the back of the property and turned the rest of the original house into a stunning open plan kitchen diner and living room.
The courtyard garden at the rear of the house is stunning and this really utilises the best assets of this property.
Finally, we created a walkway to the original garage/annexe which is to become the master suite. And boy, is it a master suite!
The master suite consists of a lovely bathroom and open plan bedroom and walk in wardrobe! Dreamy!
We absolutely love this design and think it's going to look stunning when built.
As well as that... this lovely couple have decided to add a sedum roof. The house has a flat roof so this is a fantastic idea.
Blog post coming next week on sedum roofs. Stay tuned!!
What do you think of this transformation??
